The Wubbers ProLine Series, formerly known as the Apprentice Line, is engineered to provide superb mastery and control of wire and metal. They are made from high quality steel and are finished beautifully. The ProLine Pliers have ergonomic grips with a non-slip suede-like coating. Each plier is hand-finished to help prevent marring, and is rated to work with wire that is 16-gauge or smaller.

Wubbers Apprentice Pliers-Set of 5

I recently acquired the set of five Wubbers Apprentice Pliers. They are truly beautiful tools. When I first handled them, I was impressed by their shiny appearance, well-balanced feel, and their quality construction. They are a joy to use...the polished surfaces make for mar-free jewelry making, the comfortable, rubberized handles with curved inentations for your fingers assure an accurate grip. They put all my other non-Wubbers tools to shame. My old tools are being retired. They are no match for my new Wubbers.
I first bought three Wubbers pliers some time ago, and loved them so much that I decided to try the Apprentice set. They complement each other and meet my needs very well. I plan to continue to buy Wubbers tools in the future. They have consistent high quality. If you haven't ever used Wubbers pliers, I would highly recommend the Apprentice pliers. You will not be disappointed.

The New Apprentice Wubbers

I have both the Classic and Baby Wubbers sets and love them both, but when I saw the new Apprentice set I had to have it. It was certainly time for a new set and these are my Birthday present to myself!
I love the feel of the pliers, the new slimmer lines of the handles, their balance and the finger grips fit my hands perfectly.
My wrists will thank Wubbers when I make chain tomorrow! I love all my Wubbers and have actually worn out a couple of pliers handles and springs, but not their grip! They still grip just about anything I need to grip.
The wide flat nose pliers have now become favorites of mine when it comes to chain making!

Call me what you will, a nerd,a geek or just plane passionate. I LOVE GOOD TOOLS! So that means I love these pliers. Nice and balanced, easy to work with all with less fatigue. I have arthritis in my left thumb and these help with the fatigue that I would feel with my old, small, cheap pliers.
I do like how the handles have the indentations that fit your fingers well and the no slip coating makes it easier to hold onto.
I like to work 2 bent nose pliers, so I can see another pair in the near future, maybe another of the chain nose too.
I now must be off to bid a fond bon voyage to my old, small, cheap pliers!

Love the size of this set, its perfect for me. I was surprised how they felt in the hand; not as light as I'd expect them to be in comparison to their size.
I wasn't expecting the grip to be what it is. I thought "suede-like coating" would be a soft foamy grip which its not. Truthfully I'm not crazy about the finger indents on the handles; my fingers don't naturally fit into or go to the indents.
The material used on the handles keeps your fingers from slipping so I don't understand why the finger indents would be necessary.
If the handle grips had a bit of softness to them and the handles had no indents I'd rate the quality of these pliers 5 stars.
