There’s no need for an expensive hydraulic press to use this tool—simply use a weighted rawhide mallet or a large rubber mallet to hammer the top of the press, creating the pressure needed to form the wire that has been placed inside.

This little gadget is fun to work with. The shortcoming is that no instructions it. I had to watch several videos to be sure of what I was doing right or wrong. I found if I hit to hard I broke the solder joint— that took a few times to learn! Slow learner.
But then the possibilities. I cut some disks, with centers cut out,put them into this little press , bang, bang, — then with a little green enamel, a green crystal and I had a pair of perfect wreath ear rings! Teardrop copper blanks—bang bag—amazing. My suggestion to newbies, give it a rap on the center and then rap it all around the outside -not killer hits Just firm ones. You will be sooo happy. Thanks Wubber Lady.
